We're back and more fabulous than ever!

After three long months of painting, primping and purging we are finally open. We are so excited to show you what we have done! My intention was to create a space that celebrates beauty, that delights the senses, that uplifts and inspires. I decided to pair down, simplify, let go of things that had been in the shop for the past 16 years collecting dust.  Don't worry, the poodles and the tiki bar are still here-only now the tiki bar is gold:)

In the process of simplifying, I made an executive decision to only be open four days a week. That way I have more time to find treasures, photograph things for our Etsy shop and maintain some degree of sanity. Thank you for being so patient and supportive during the stressful remodel phase, I hope you find the result to have been worth the wait.

Come visit us Thursday and Friday, between the hours of 11am and 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10am and 6pm. We can't wait to see you!

Fashion Crush: Claire Underwood

Image from http://insideclairescloset.tumblr.com.
Ever since I started watching House Of Cards I have been totally obsessed with Claire Underwood's style. So imagine my surprise when I saw Claire walking down the television aisle in a dress just like my Xtabay Original courthouse wedding dress! I immediately starting screaming and grabbed my iPhone to take a picture of the screen. Granted Claire's dress is in a different fabric, has a slit, slightly larger buttons and Robin Wright's incredible figure in it,  it is essentially the same dress. I don't know who made it or how it happened but it was pretty exciting.

Claire's vow renewal dress is available in our Etsy shop.

This set can be purchased here in our Etsy shop.

Speaking of Claire dresses….this Xtabay Original design also has the classic but sexy style that she tends to gravitate towards. Worn with it's matching jacket it is perfect for the office but without transitions perfectly into a sexy LBD for evening. We offer this dress in both black and white, in white it also makes a killer little courthouse wedding or reception dress.

Now I don't know if Claire would ever rock vintage heels and a straw clutch but I think this ensemble is pretty adorable. The heels are also about 1/16 the price of her Louboutins!

The vintage Gods have been smiling on us and we have been finding some truly exceptional dresses! That paired with the skills of our new sales girls Rachael and Kara (more about them in the next post) means dresses have been selling faster than ever! Take that brown pleated chiffon beauty up above, she only lasted a few seconds in the shop...

I hit the costume jewelry jackpot last week while making a house call and purchased a beautiful collection of signed pieces, names like Miriam Haskell, Joseff of Hollywood, Regency, Trifari and  David Anderson. I'm so excited to show them off!  I also picked up a bunch of fabulous hats and bags...

Come by this week and check it all out, we'd love to see you:)
